Any new email clients?

Post by cokey »

Just wondering. I've used thunderbird for so long I was curious if anything new and awesome had been released

There aren't really any newly-released mail clients nowadays, I guess all the currently available options are Good Enough™. Hiri and Mailspring are relatively new that you don't hear often about, but I certainly wouldn't use "awesome" or any other positive adjectives to describe them.

If you're looking for a Thunderbird replacement, you can never go wrong with Sylpheed/Claws Mail (or mutt if you need one with CLI).

I use evolution, though it's mostly because I needed something quickly.
Just wanted to say it's not all web-based now  and I'm interested in a better replacement too.

Web is fine but after about 3 accounts it's just plainly inefficient. I've been using Mailspring on Windows for a while and it's good it has a few annoying bits that I'm not happy with

No.

Use Outlook like every other person.

So it's still Evolution or Thunderbird?

Something needs to be done
