Mathjax or Katex

Post by Naib »

I run a few gitea instances here and it lacks latex rendering and I write equations alot, especially for problem reports :)

GitLab uses Katex, GitHub MathJax

I have gotten both working in my test setup and Katex is fast. Anyone got a preference?

MathJax works in emacs so i'm going to say Mathjax and not for technical merit but lazyness.

I settled for latex as the loadtime with mathjax was actually quite long

There is about 10-15 Tex commands that are not supported but they are more of the obscure type, as long as I can write my trig for FoC I'm good
